Calling all Expats, Travelers & Travel Writers!

This summer, six girls (and a guardian) that have received their first passports via The Passport Party Project (PPP) over the past year and a half will win an all-expense paid trip to Belize, Central America!  I'm still working out the contest details with Expedia, but doesn't that just make you feel warm and fuzzy all over? *Big smile*

A few weeks ago, I received another inquiry from a PPP advocate on Facebook asking how she could help.  This inquiry came from an expatriate in South Korea; and after giving it some thought, I asked her to create a short 1 minute video addressing all of the girls from PPP.  And that's when the lightbulb came on!  "Lily is in Belize again," I thought.  "I bet she has something to share!  In fact, I bet there are a lot of expats and travelers that would like to share."

If you are an expatriate, a traveler, or a travel writer and you have a message for the 100 girls that now have or will soon be getting their first passport, Lily and I would like to personally invite you to send them a personal message via a 1 minute video.  (Please, just 1 minute.)

Simply upload your message to YouTube and send your link to PassportPartyProject@gmail.com. Make it personal, make it happy and make it fun!  Easy, right?

Then let's do this!  #itmatters

DEADLINE: July 1, 2013
P.S. Please remember to send a written translation if your video is in a language other than English.  Thanks!

*Passport Day in USA 2013* A Celebration

An excited Atlanta Passport Party participant...
23 February 2013, Omni Hotel at CNN Center

Every year around this time, the US State Department's Bureau of Consular Affairs presents Passport Day in the USA, a Saturday when those who want to get or renew their passport can go to their local passport agency and, without an appointment, apply.  This year, Passport Day in the USA goes down from 10am - 3pm on Saturday, March 9, 2013.  #gotpassport?

This year, The Passport Party Project is going to celebrate Passport Day in the USA by partnering with travel bloggers in Philadelphia, New York, DC, Detroit, Chicago and Los Angeles so that 24 girls nationwide will get their first passports.  Cool, isn't it?

And on that note...

It is my pleasure to introduce you to the committed travel bloggers facilitating the passport process and the girls that will benefit...

*Drumroll please*

#OmniATL Giveaway!

The Atlanta Passport Party is going down on February 23, 2013 at The Omni Hotel at CNN Center and both travel writer volunteer April (of Absolute Travel Addict) and  I are getting ourselves in gear for the festivities.  April is flying in from Jamaica (yes, Jamaica!) and we. can't. wait.

To help celebrate this global awareness initiative, our gracious event sponsor would like to offer Passport Party Project advocates an opportunity to win a complimentary ONE NIGHT STAY, complimentary BREAKFAST, and complimentary VALET PARKING at their spectacular four-diamond luxury hotel in Atlanta!  (And, hey, if you don't live in Atlanta or don't plan to be there anytime soon, the  prize is transferable and would make a lovely gift.)

As is the norm for PPP contests, this one is easy peasy.  Simply leave your name, city and state in the comments section below and on February 23, 2013, one of the teen girls from Empower Her, Inc. will pull the name of the lucky winner in a drawing to be held during The Atlanta Passport Party.

Feeling lucky?!  Then enter to win!
