“For it is in giving that we receive.”
― St. Francis of Assisi
This July, Jazmyne, Lyanna, Soleil, Shannon, Viviana and Daizia - winners of The Passport Party Project's Passport to Belize contest - will not just spend time soaking up all of the culture and fun activities that Belize has to offer, but they will also spend a day volunteering at Liberty Children's Home, an orphanage that cares for abused, neglected and abandoned children in Ladyville, Belize, as these newly minted international travelers embark on their path to global citizenship.
Each girl has been tasked with fundraising $100 each so that they can present a heartfelt donation to this wonderful orphanage. The idea, of course, is to encourage giving back to the local community in some way whenever they travel; whether it be by dining at a local restaurant, volunteering their time, or perhaps simply packing for a purpose.
Where You Come In
Yesterday, I spoke with Agatha Valentine, Director at Liberty Children's Home, and asked her for her Wish List for the orphanage. Since The Passport Party Project girls will be fundraising, I thought it would be nice to pack some much needed supplies to add to the girls' donations.

I hope you follow us on our journey next month. It's going to be one exciting and life-changing trip! (For me, too.)
